What is an IPTV service, and how is it different from DTH, cable and OTT?
IPTV (Internet Protocol Television) delivers live TV channels over your broadband connection to a set-top box, rather than by satellite (DTH) or a cable network. Think of it as live TV that travels down the same line as your internet. Compared with DTH, IPTV usually adds richer interactivity — catch-up, pause and rewind on live TV, cloud recording — and blends your OTT streaming apps into the same box and remote. The trade-off is that, unlike DTH, it depends on your internet quality. OTT apps alone give you on-demand shows but not the full live-channel line-up that IPTV carries.
