How does a predictive dialler decide how many numbers to dial simultaneously?

A predictive dialler uses a pacing algorithm to calculate the optimal dial ratio based on answer rate, average handle time, available agents and the regulatory drop rate cap. It continuously adjusts the number of simultaneous dials every few seconds, increasing or reducing the dial ratio to maximise agent availability while preventing dropped calls.
