What is SASE?

SASE (Secure Access Service Edge, pronounced "sassy") is a cloud-delivered model that converges networking and security into one platform. It combines SD-WAN with a set of security services — Zero Trust Network Access, secure web gateway, CASB and firewall-as-a-service — delivered from cloud points of presence close to your users. The idea is that wherever someone works, they connect through a nearby edge that applies the same policy, rather than being routed back to a central data centre.
