What is Zero Trust architecture?

Zero Trust is a security model built on the principle "never trust, always verify". Instead of trusting anything inside the network perimeter, it verifies every user, device and request continuously, grants the least privilege needed, and assumes a breach could happen so it limits the damage. It's an architecture and a strategy spanning identity, devices, network, applications and data — not a single product you can buy off the shelf.
