Modi government will join 10-15 times cheaper internet in the village
Modi Government has come up with an offer of 10-15 times cheaper internet to increase internet penetration in villages. This facility will be provided under the bharatnet Project. Which is 10-15 times cheaper than other companies.
What is the offer?
A senior official of Bharat Broadband Network Limited told Moneybhaskar.com that the company has come out with an offer under the BharatNet project. In which, after joining the promotional scheme till August 29, 2017, a speed of Rs.700 per MBBS per year will be given. The duration of the offer will be valid for one year after joining the scheme. Along with this, the port charge and the ONT port charge have been free. According to the official, we want to speed up Internet services in rural areas through this fast. So that e-healthcare, e-education, e-governance can be increased rapidly. According to the official, under the IndiaNet bandwidth project, this offer will be for Business to Business, Business to Customer, Government to Government, Government to Customer Services.
What is the bharatnet project?
Under the Bharatnet project, the government has to add 2.5 lakh gram panchayats to the broadband network of the country. Under this, the government will reach the minimum 100 Mbps speed in every Gram Panchayat. Through this, government wants to provide facilities like e-governance, e-health, e-education, e-banking, public internet service through Panchayats.
Only about 23 thousand village panchayats will get the facility
Even though BBNL has launched the scheme, now only about 23 thousand village panchayats will get the benefit. As per the latest status report, 23147 Gram Panchayats are in a position to complete the operation. Because of which the benefits of the offer can be made by the village panchayats.
